I wouldn't say this is my favorite memory, but its one that easily came to mind when I read this. So..........
Driving..... across a few states, or just a few hour or day trips, by myself. There is something incredibly liberating about long trips...what one is capable of accomplishing ,go, see, doing. When your driving for that long, you see the world change......and you change with it.
my wedding. i know, kind of cheesy, but it was seriously one of my most happiest days. being with all the people i love, from all walks of my life...never have i felt so supported and loved.
Sitting in the Garden Room of our 1857 year old Italianate Farm House which had big sliding glass doors from floor to ceiling on two sides - surrounded by plants and trees and white wicker furniture with brightly colored pillows and looking out to see big white snowflakes falling outside. I felt as though I were sitting inside of a snow globe and it was magical! I had always wondered what that would feel like. It was exciting!
I have so many of them - which one do I choose. . .Perhaps when my sweet niece came to visit me with her mom (my sister) when I lived in Oregon. . .we made sand castles on the beach and rafted down the Smith River. . .I think we picked peas from my garden. We had a grand time.
The birth of my two sons.
